I just got through reading this article. My favorite piece: (This is very much a 'Sony game'). Not only do I agree that it is, but I'm glad they mention that. Give better insight into Sony's tastes when it comes to sales. They prefer these artsy, story-driven games that don't do 10-20 million in sales, not even 5. They just prefer the top-notch quality, which as a gamer is most important.

That's great for the consumer, I agree with that. But unless people start buying these sorts of games then publishers will stop backing these games.

This game looks awesome I just don't see it doing the sales necessary to get either a sequel or similar games coming out.

Sometimes though you get a a company like Sony that is more worried about having a "technical masterpeice" if you will, instead of having only titles that appeal to the masses.

Sony seems to have a hard on for releasing a few games like this per gen. I think The Last Guardian will be the next title to go through years and years of development only to show off great technical feats and probably not turn a significant profit, if at all.

And that's more along the lines of what I was getting at.

I like that Sony is willing to take a risk on games like this; all I know is that if I ran Sony I would forget about this game and tell them to hurry up on GT5, Resistance 3, Killzone 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2.
