Gonna have to disagree a bit.

A lot of you are exremely overestimating this game's sales. Here are some factors that usually hurt sales:

-The first installment of a series usually sells better than upcoming ones, so it'll be hard to beat TP for this game.
-The second installment can and usually will outsell the first with the addition of an important new feature. Halo 2 beat Halo 1 because of the addition of online multiplayer. Zelda Wii will have motion plus.
-Usage of the Wii Motion Plus could be hurting, it doesn't have though.
-They'll bundle it. Problem solved.
-Unlike the successful bridge games that were either Mario or new franchises, Zelda is either not known to casuals at all, or worse, known as a hardcore franchise that isn't for them
-I know it's anecdotal, but I know plenty of people who loved the original Zelda on the NES. It's at least known and appreciated by lapsed gamers.
-the two DS games that had that bridgey approach didn't sell more than other games in the franchise, Spirit Tracks seems to sell even worse than PH.
-Harder to agrue with this one. But handhelds aren't consoles.

All in all, I think if Nintendo tries to cater the casuals the game won't sell over 5 million because casuals will still not be interested in the game in huge amounts while hardcore gamers will be a bit reserved if the game isn't primarily for them.

If Nintendo is able to create a revolutionary game that still feels like a Zelda (As they did with OoT), they might be able to reach the 7-8 million range. I think everything north of 8 million is completely illusionary.

Mario Kart Wii made a good bridge game. If Zelda Wii can get back to the basics I doubt it can't do the same.

I agree with your first two arguments to the point that this factors could lead either way.

I just think that some gaming concepts work fine for bridge games, while others don't. The whole point about Zelda is that it is epic. Casual games like Wii Sports are exactly the opposite. Bridge games like Mario Kart can be both, you can have epic grand prix or you can just have a single race.
I don't see how you can create Zelda to make it fun to play it in small portions, you have to sit down and play for an hour at least to get the feeling and the fun. That is why Zelda isn't a bridge game.
