Halo is still more popular in America, Halo 3 is untouchable in sales here (will be at 8 million soon). I'm sure it has a lot to do with local multiplayer, and I guess the game's style is more appealing. Perhaps the advertising is better here, as well.
Whatever it is, Halo is just not very popular in Europe. Modern Warfare 2 (X360) will already overtake it there with this week's numbers. I don't think Halo has much room for growth left in the Americas, so it all depends on whether Halo can reach (erm) the European audience.
I trust Bungie will come up with something good on the multiplayer end, they must have learned plenty from the last two games. I'm glad JaggedSac pointed out Bungie realizes the problem with MW2's system, it really pisses me off how I have to start out undergeared. I don't wanna play a damn RPG, I bought the game to play a shooter. Give me my M16, now!
Really, unlockables need to go.
