It's funny, but I think Final Fantasy will be a quality JRPG as opposed to others and I am definitely willing to give it the benefit of the doubt over Lost Odyssey (which is crazy this gen). I have to admit, but Lost Odyssey is the only game that actually forced me to shed a tear in a certain scene. Looking at the videos gave me that same old feeling, but I am leaving to hope that practice beats out watching from a distance. As for Mass Effect 2, that game is becoming so popular it has a 4 part documentary on the Scifi channel. That.....is....crazy. As far as other people are concerned on the "PS3 Only" side of the tracks, their change of heart to Mass Effect 2 from older comments is a surprise to say the least. This post truly surprised me. I remember when Mass Effect threads were up it was only a handful of us supporting the thread and sometimes you had your lovers, but some haters came in and were drowned out by us because this Triology to us is just the definition of epic. |
I completely understand what you mean. Even though I came a bit late into the Mass Effect world, when I started playing it and posting here, only a Handful of people posted, and the threads were filled up with non-sensical posts that led to the thread quickly derailing.
It was a shame, but I think that ME has slowly gained the recognition it deserves. It's one of the best WRPG's that Bioware has done, and to me the best console WRPG released so far.
As for Lost Odyssey, I also agree with you, that game is on my top 3 list of this generation so far, the emotional connection that you had with Kaim, Seth and the rest of the bunch was simply astounding. The end of the 1st DVD almost crushed my heart >_<
