I see the current state as transition and am somewhat satified...
Companies are still:
- Figuring out how to make money with games more consistently
- Realizing that the core gamers buy way more games than the casuals
- Pushing the envelope to see where video games fit in society as entertainment
- Figuring out what works and doesn't from a digital distribution point of view
- Trying to still find the defining what consoles are and are not
- Figuring out where PCs and consoles fit together and work differently
