The reviews show that FF just was not a good game, and it was short. Spin-offs are always more likely to sell less than their source material anyways, and this is a spin-off of a spin-off that completely skipped the benefits of a holiday release.

Silent Hill is only 5 or 6 hours in length, and not many people want to play full price for that. Plus, how do we know it won't do better when it releases in Others? I'm not saying it will, but you need to see the total sales before calling it a bomb. Relative to the last SH game, it is dong on par with it, so things cannot be that bad.

Besides, neither game has been out for more than two months, so calling them failures is premature.

Didn't the FF:CC on Gamecube sell 1 million +? I'm not sure how it reviewed either but it definitely wasn't accessible to most people, unless you had 4 GBA's with 4 link cables lol.

FF:CC on Wii had every reason to flop though, the game was put out to die. Still, it's another high-profile game which has been a proven seller in the past, which has miraculously bombed on the Wii. Fairly or not, people will look at those sales and draw negative conclusions towards Wii game selling credentials. I think the biggest negative for FFCC:TCB's sales is that it's most likely put SE off putting any RPG's on the Wii.

Also the Silent Hill's on PS1 exceed 2 million ( at least Silent Hill 2 did), people need to stop quoting VGC figures as if they're worldwide lol. The series is on a downward spiral, and the Wii sales are comparable to the PS360 version though (Which bombed too). It'll probably settle at around 300k-400k, which means it's just another Wii game that probably broke even, but isn't of particually impressive sales.
