Sorry, it's wrong to think that a TV is already 3D compliant just because of his 200hz technologie ! 
The 3D rendering isn't just a question of refresh rate, and over the top, know that the TV MUST be able to translate 2 images sent in the same video flow and show it properly. It's a HDMI concern and if the manufacturers talks about a new 1.4 version, it's also for this reason. Yes, a 3D compliant TV must be equiped with the HDMI 1.4.
The PS3 will be able to generate the 3D video flow only after an upgrade. With this example, we can easy expect that the TV manufacturers can do the same with their products. But in fact, it's closely impossible, just because only a few of TV can have their firmware upgraded, and even less can be connected to the internet to give the opportunity of an "free" upgrade for the customers... And sadly for us, it's much more interessant for the manufacturer to sell a new TV model in place of purpose an software upgrade, free or not, for a "old" product... 
But even with his upgrade, the PS3 HDMI 1.3 keep an limitation, but not very annoying, it's just limit the 3D rendering at 720P. That really not a problem for gamers like us, just because at the first point, the hardware isn't enough powerful to render a games with a smooth animation at 1080P in 3D ! 
For this reasons, my advise is to not buy a new TV, even in 200hz, 600 etc... And wait for products labelised 3DReady with HDMI 1.4 !
