find a 299$ PC that can out put a game like kz2.

Just as soon as you find me a $199 PS3 to play Call of Duty MW2. Also find me a $299 PS3 that you can type an essay on. Oh and find me a PS3 which comes with an HD display for under $500.

All you do is take a computer which is otherwise useful for other tasks and then pay an additional $99 for the ability to play modern 3D games on it. This computer may or may not have Blu Ray or any other features you deem to be required.

u  actually can, install linux on a fat =). ubuntu runs nice, its faster than my 1gb T5300 core 2 duo =).

open office, abi word, and office 2007 (using wine) work.

and none of your comparison makes sense, fid a 299$ pc that can run a game with graphics like killzone 2, with online etc.

u wont find it.

You won't find a $299 PS3 which can do office/word or internet nearly as well. A PC doesn't have to be as cheap as a PS3 whilst performing better because it does far more and is far more useful than a PS3 in what it does. All those arguments I saw about how the PS3 is better value because it does X function that the Xbox 360 doesn't do are moot when comparing it as a gaming machine against the PC if the advantage in those other functions are on the other foot? Also if you're going to compare functions which don't exist on the retail models how would you feel if I compared a 40GB PS3 with Sixaxis to a 120GB modern Elite 360?

Theres no point in quoting PC prices at the moment as theres quite a shortage because of Windows 7's success and the end of the recession. I noticed practically every PC in the price range was sold out on Newegg.
