Too many long discussion so this may have been said already:

I just dont understand it. If you look at the top selling games of the Wii. I posted this in another thread:

http://vgchartz.com/worldtotals.php?page=1&results=50&name=&console=Wii&minSales=0&publisher=&genre=

Of the top 30 selling games WW 10 have mario or sonic in them.
Of those 30:

4 are fitness games.
6 are "Wii" branded games (music, fit, sports, resort)
13 are mini game compilations.

http://vgchartz.com/worldtotals.php?name=&console=PS3&publisher=&genre=&minSales=0&results=50&sort=Total

Of the 30 top selling PS3 games there are FPS, Third person shooters, third person action adventure, sports games, racing games, rhythm games and platformers.

Of the top 30 games for the 360 you see the same thing.

Now, queue the "well devs never gave wii owners the chance to experience the aforementioned genres with quality" So i say to that Nintendo made its bed with the concept of the wii and now its consumers must lie in it.

What sells and the connotation of what the wii offers is clearly visible by nintendo and its developers, this seems to be a problem with the userbase who is clamoring for more and taking it personally when these developers speak out about the truth of the matter.

A lot of what has progressed in the aforementioned genres requires a lot of processing power and tech behind it. Control schemes on the wii lack many of th einputs and intuitive nature of gameplay that are required to enjoy the games and genres.

There are a lot of variables that go into why or why a game cannot or should not be ported or brought to the wii. Its reality, you cant have an assassins creed game without massive environments, huge draw distances, and tons of stuff going on on screen because it wouldnt work. You cant have Bioshock without the atmospheric graphics, immersion and storytelling.

Sports games have lacked on the wii, some have been botched, FPS are almost nonexistent in terms of sales compared to the 360 and PS3.

Expectations grow within genres over time, things need to improve and this is why its imperative that the hardware be able to accomadate to move genres forward.

This is without mentioning the control and button mapping necessary to make the game intuitive. There are so many complex variables and when developers are already committed to the immersiveness, quality, and progression of their titles, genres and franchises these things must be considered.

On top of that, many developers of the quality games we all love of this gen and others have a deep love for their craft and work. Without progressing them perhaps they dont feel satisfied with their art......lots of things.

People need to stop bitching about these companies when they make a business decision that, yes, can be debated, but clearly has no single answer...if they are unhappy then get a system that gives you what you desire.....if not, then stick with the wii. And vice versa in regard to HD owners unhappy with their products.

I have a HD system, I have everything except PS3 and I will continue to bitch about the lack of effort on the Wii because at this point there is no excuse for them not to bring it to the Wii.

When they stop bitching about their halfassed work not being sold enough on the Wii then maybe i will stop bitching too.

All I want is the same effort put into a Wii game from theese developers as they put into the HD twins, no more of their C teams making games for the Wii bring on their A teams (their best teams) to make a game for the wii.

FPS games would fit perfectly on the Wii with the wiimote and yet they dont bring it, they rather bring it on the HD with their inferior controls and that is fracked up especially when they bitch that their games dont sell on the Wii.

Just look at Modern warfare, even though its inferior graphics wise and gimped both game wise and marketing wise the game is still a superior experinece on the Wii, especially when you allready have played it on a HD system once (thats all better graphic does, its better the first time with enhanced graphics then it doesnt mutter anynmore).

Seeing how MW2 is going to end up being the highest selling multiplatform game of the generation, you can hardly fault Activision for releasing it on the platforms they picked...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
