Yes yes... Go play some high end PC games then come back and tell me that your console can handle as many objects, and effect on high settings as a $400 PC.

Never compare a console to the PC. You will get splattered & left to rot under a bus. My Radeon 3850 makes Fallout 3 look like its playing on a XB720 or PS4 and that card is 2 generations old and I have at least 8 mods running that quadruple the number of enemies in game. Last I checked the PS3 had trouble maintaining 30fps in vanilla Fallout 3 at about medium PC settings.

then a game like killzone 2 or uncharted 2 would make your PC sweat.

bad comparsion, lousy port, of a PC developed game.

and killzone 2 dont have tiny maps, they are actually huge.

especially the desert

Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 would make a reasonably modern PC sweat? Arguably the PS3 has more CPU performance to throw at a anything but arguably they simply throw that extra performance at making the graphics look nicer whilst a PC has all it needs hanging off the PCI-E bus. Even a cheapo $99 card has what it takes to pummel the PS3 in 3D performance and that can be added to any PC with a PCI-E slot, no extra cords or power required.

find a 299$ PC that can out put a game like kz2.

Just as soon as you find me a $199 PS3 to play Call of Duty MW2. Also find me a $299 PS3 that you can type an essay on. Oh and find me a PS3 which comes with an HD display for under $500.

All you do is take a computer which is otherwise useful for other tasks and then pay an additional $99 for the ability to play modern 3D games on it. This computer may or may not have Blu Ray or any other features you deem to be required.
