That's a typical fallacy which pops up in this debate. Who told you these Wii fans want to play the exact games that the 360 and PS3 have, with PS3 and 360 controls?

 

Have the 3rd party developers that you criticize so much demonstrated that they can develop successfully any other kind of game ?

Yes.

My favorite games made by Capcom are Mega Man 2, 3, and 9.  I refuse to believe that they can make good 8-bit games, Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube, and nothing but on-rail shooters for the Wii, which is more powerful than the GameCube.  RE4 as a GC port can still sell really well on the Wii, so that engine is definitely still good enough for the Wii consumer, so I think they should make more games that use that engine.

EDIT: And there used to a be a time where I thought to myself "Ubisoft can make all the bad games they want.  They made Beyond Good and Evil so I'll love them forever."  Boy was I wrong.
