He just needs to go, he's no longer on the IGN Nintendo team for a reason, he caught a lot of heat for his game scoop comments for a reason, and hes getting a lot of flack for this editorial for a reason. Stuff like that is why gaming journalism isn't taken seriously and won't be for some time.

Not only is this stuff the reason that gaming journalism is not taken seriously, it is also the reason that video games are not taken seriously.  Ironic, considering all these journalists are the ones who want video games to be considered art.

You know, maybe it's something that exists only in some countries in Europe but in Poland we can't take any "journalist" seriously unless he actually went to some faculty where he could hone his writing/editorial skills as most of the time there is a huge difference between journalist-wannabes and educated pros articles, even if they share the same mindset on a given subject.

From the looks of it, these guys don't know the first thing about true journalism (fret not as this applies to almost every game magazine out there...sadly). Most of their editorials wouldn't be good enough for a high school newspaper to tell the truth.

Happy Wii60 user. Me and my family are a perfect example of where hardcore meets casual and together mutate into something awesome.
