Good point. It reminds me a lot, specially with the chainsaw thing, of the clix table top reboot Mechwarrior: Dark Age / Age of Destruction, where it was 80 years in the future and "real" Mechs were rare, so armies fought in a lot of retrofitted industrial and civilian mechs.
