Alterego-X said: I have a strange feeling. Maybe it is just me whose perceptions changed, but I could swear, that nowadays the whole Nintendo community, and not just on this site, is a lot more supportive to Nintendo and hostile to 3rd parties than ever before, for example, a year ago.
In the past, there was cheerful optimism about all upcoming core third party games, and some blaming of Nintendo for not helping to get even more third party games. Nowadays, everyone starts to sound like Malstrom: "The Industry Must Die!", "None of them could make any good enough games!", "Everything on-rails sucks!" Even on generic core news sites, like Eurogamer, a comment pointing out how retarded Ubisoft is, and their best franchises should have Wii versions, can get voted up. Is it just me, or there is something in the winds? |
I'm bitter at third parties because they never make good games for the system. I mean, its pretty sad when the best third party games for the system are stuff like Muramasa, Little King's Story and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. All these games would be considered secondary titles to the games coming out on the HD consoles, but we have to hold them up as the best we have on the Wii. Not that I'm calling them horrible (I love Muramasa), but really....
Then these same companies, who are making millions off of party and casual games, turn around and complain their games aren't selling well on the Wii. Its like a kid who goes into a candy store and steals a handful of jolly ranchers, then as he's leaving he turns around and screams to the owner 'I wanted more!'
