I don't think anyone really hates Sega, just their lack of effort in their new Sonic games and more recently their poor handling of the port for Bayonetta. Haven't really played the Sonic handheld games, so I'm only speaking of the home console versions.

I bought Sonic '06 for 10 bucks at Wal-mart. God that game is awful. Bugs galore, no real sense of speed, and whatever happened to the whole attitude thing. Played the demo of Sonic Unleashed and loved it. Graphics were good and it had speed, but with control. Reminded me of the old Sonic games. But then I learned there aren't too many parts of the game like that, and a lot of them were kinda short. And OMG Black Knight. I laugh everytime I think about that game. BlackBusterCritic on Youtube made a vid demonstrating how you could play that game basically blindfolded. Just hold forward and waggle the Wiimote. Pathetic.

But hey, the Sonic Team doesn't really have to try, not with all the Sonic "lovers" and furries out there. They buy anything Sonic as long as he's in it. Hell, they probably buy more copies so the sales numbers are inflated. Even though I know there are some diehard Mario fans, I think they would be able to bash a Mario game if it was complete crap.
