"You're not hearing what i'm saying. In Chapter 11 it allows you to do that in some dungeons, not all that's true, but it does allow some backtrack exploration."

Did you miss where I wrote this only applies to a certain point?

"There is backtrack in the game, that's what i'm telling you."

If it's not allowed for much of the game, that still means those parts before that point are linear.

That's true, that's why I said that although this game is more linear than the past ones, it still opens up for exploration.

I find a resemblance between of the initial linearity of FFXIII with the linearity of FFX, which only allowed for backtrack exploration almost at 3/4 of the game itself.

Which actually leads to what is losing my interest in this game. I loved the gameplay and battle system of FFX, but the story really faltered overall (but there were some good scenes). So taking that linearity is turned up even further just makes me groan.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
