Gamespot wrote about this rumour - they say it's bogus, but seriously it takes years to develop a system.

Honestly, there is nothing in the XBox 360 Elite which justifies its $80 price increase over the priemium model (and $180 for a hard-drive which can be purchased at retail for less than $100 is insane).


It's true, Microsoft's just being greedy.
