I firmly believe that if they dont change the name to Halo 4: Reach they are losing 3+ million sales.

The problem with "milking franchises" is you isolate new fans form joining. Halo 1 2 or 3....its easy, somebody can go rent 1 or 2 catch up join in on the fun, it feel swhole its "main"...throw in halo wars, and ODST people see it dilluted, no Reach on top of that.

I think it closes people off from wanting in because it seems to encompassing in the universe, its not as inviting having all of these different games. I know they probably cant rename it since its a prequel, but i dont think this touches Halo 3 WW.

The game is a new strand in the Halo universe, they need to go away from the numbered branding to attract new customers, the old cstomers will buy it regardless of whats in the title.  Also maybe they're saving Halo 4 for a game that has the chief return, call it a banker for next gen.

I think just the opposite happens.

The fact there are so many "new strands" in the halo universe, like ODST, Wars and now Reach is th epoint im making. Luring a new consumer and enticing them to buy and get into a game, i really believe, being able to differentiate story timeline and having sequential titles adds to the fullness and ease of entry into a franchise.

Have 3 main halos, and the ODST spin off, Wars spin off, and now Reach people who have never played the main franchise will most likely start with 3, if not 1 or 2.
