Just in case someone still doubts it, here is the easy calculation to show why:
1920 pixels * 1080 pixels * 3 bytes per pixel (red, green blue) * 24 frames per second = 149 299 200 bytes = 145 800 KB = 142 MB per second.
Where are the hard drives, or optical drives that can read that fast? And where is the storage medium to store 500 GB per hour of movies?
