wow, on kotaku forum, there is only 1-2 posts about how it might be the dvd limit.

I used to be on kotaku and left cuz it was bursting with 360fanboys. It says right in the interview "volume constraints"

For me it was clear too, not less than obvious.

seems less likely to me.  I mean, does even Blu-ray have enough space for "Twice the game."

Does it even make sense for the game to be any longer let alone twice as long considering how much they said it was?

Was the content they cut even any good?  If so we'll see it in downloadble content.

Stuff gets cut out of games all the time.

When I read the comment I thought he meant "there is enough artwork for another game". Not neccessarily doubling FFXIII playtime. It's probably just some optional extras that they had in, and with the limits of DVD, they felt it was appropriate to cut it. We may see some as DLC, but certainly not all as by the sound of things it was pretty large. If anything, they'll probably put the artwork into another FFXIII spin-off like Versus.

Actually, when the art director said that (if this interview is true, because no one is really sure yet...) he said that there were enough "content" to do another game, and he even said that there were some 'areas' (like caracter houses, Chocobo farm, and others) that were cut off. If thats true, then we can say that there were indeed a lot more cut off than simple 'extras'.
