I agree with Tor that you can't base a score on "fun."

You can on "gameplay" though, and Splosion Man's is good, but very 1-dimensional and repetitive. Level design isn't nearly as imaginative, nor is level variety. Here's my point:

I could make you a 300 level platformer. All you would do is jump up stairstep blocks for 30 seconds each level. It would be incredibly original, because no one has ever made a platformer like that before. I'll let you play online with 4 friends, even if it has no effect on the gameplay. I'll even give it to you for free.

By IGN's definition I just made the best platformer of all time.
