the negative threads where the biased unknown reviewers (who are fanboys) ?
OT: (or off topic?) I can't believe NSMBwii is that low, I was expecting it #3 or 4

Actually those weren't the only negative threads about FFXIII, almost every thread which had the FFXIII name on it eventually sunked into negativity about the game.

I really hope that some day FF fans can be as close together as Mario or Zelda fans, I really love to converse with a fellow Mario or Zelda fan, because I know that there's almost no negativity between us :)

@Darth

To me the best gameplay so far has been FFVII's Materia System, since it allowed you a world of possibilities that no FF had allowed you before. The combinations of Materia were in the millions ;)

@hikaruchan

It's true, one of the biggest points against FFX was the inclusion of Tidus, but I still remember the discussions that arose when it was known that FFX would have no explorable overworld, that's when the s*** almost hit the fan with FF fans >_<

FF spans several companies' consoles, which is a big reason why most don't get along.  It's the truth unfortunately.  Also, different teams do each game so everyone has their preferences.  I suppose Dragon Quest fans get along with each other a little better.  In Japan, the FF vs. DQ battle is the most vicious battle, even over console wars.

It's true, but also taking the account of Dragon Quest, the transition from SNES to PS consoles in DQ VII and DQ VIII didn't rose so many discussions amongst the DQ fans, but they are, as you said, a much more agreable bunch.

But yeah, I wouldn't want to be in mid discussion between DQ and FF in Japan xD
