It's good to keep the competition going and get other companies to stay on their toes. Also, many people that work for the division have to feed their families and make a living. People being out of work is not a good thing, especially now.

As a gamer, I would take Sega any day of the week over Microsoft. The only game I can really think of that I liked from MS themselves on the Xbox (not counting PC) was Lost Odyssey. I just think they try to hard to emulate Sony's success rather than increase their own profile of games / features. Xbox Live was a good idea, and I think Natal is a good idea as well.

I hope 2010 for MS will be more about what they offer and not what they have taken from Sony.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
