For the record, I've played Splosion Man, and it's not that great. Interesting and unique concept but gets a bit old after awhile. To compare it to a classic like NSMB Wii is an insult to NSMB Wii.
And furthermore, saying people who like the game are just "blinded" by Mario is insulting to its fans, and I take it personally. I could just as easilly turn around and say whoever wrote that article (was it Doucheman Haetfield?) is simply blinded by Microsoft and XBLA products.
