Well I do not believe that this is the best game ever but it is no where near as bad and he is making it out to be. GOTY awards are always subjective anyway. There has been tons of other franchises that have won awards just because of the name like GTA, Final Fantasy, Halo. You cant fault Nintendo for not revolutionizing the indusrty each time they make a new mario game. They made a game that was fun and easy to play.
