The New Super Mario Bros. Wii may not have its sales justified based on quality or originality in comparison to other Mario games, but its distinctness in the market and lack of competition really helps it out. If there was only a handful of FPS games released in a year I’m certain that when the newest instalment of the longest running and highest quality series would sell amazingly well.
