rynx said: I'm I the only one who feels robbed when I purchase a 60$ blu-ray disk game to find out my version was compressed and had files removed in order to keep it equal as its counterpart (FF13 and Tekken 6)? I find it like, I'm not only being robbed from my money but also my experience with the game. I think Sony needs to find a way to end this practice and we as consumers of Sony products need to make them aware about it. We are paying for a 25/50gb Blu-ray disk not a 8gb DVD disk which bewildereds me on why MS charges 60$ for their games? Because of 'console equality' there are a lot of consumers who are misinformed of the blu-ray capacity and the ps3's power and who's to blame? Yes, Sony for not stopping this practice but also those developers who are practicing it, we shouldn't support them. My brother and I decided we werent going to purchase ff13 and even if only a few hundred ps3 owners don't purchase it, oh well, at least scummy developers like square won't get our money and it'll go to a first party company. it's a shame cause I was a big fan of FF and I cannot force myself into buying this game.
I'm not trying to start a boycot but instead want to read the opionions of others about 'console equality' and whether or not Squareenix latest move change your decision of a purchase. For those who don't know Square removed content that was on the ps3 in order to keep it equal as its 360 counterpart. also there's a good chance they compressed both versions of the game even though they promised they wouldnt for the ps3.
also please refrain from my thread if you're going to be rude. you respect me and ill respect your thread. |
You'll have to forgive me if I don't respect you because you made an unrespectable thread.
Compression doesn't handicap a game. Every image on every website you have ever seen was compressed and if you have a single uncompressed bit of audio or video on your computer then you are either 1) an audio/visual professional who routinely works with uncompressed media, or 2) neurotic and undeserving of the attention you were clearly clamoring for with this post.
Did you know that in LSD case studies many people reported significant health problems after the experiments? One woman said LSD made her a quadriplegic. The thing is, those people weren't even given LSD. They were given placebos.
You are one of those people. You are seeing things that aren't there. Get a grip.
