Not every household buys both $300 systems. If they do buy both, they usually fully intend to replace one or the other.
The practices that Sega (Bayonetta), Square (Final Fantasy XIII) and Valve (The Orange Box) should supported. These companies put a smaller asking price for the inferior product.
In the case of Final Fantasy XIII, do you really think PS3 users should support what Square Enix did to the once exclusive game?
