Also, is seems this move will lower the revenue they calculated by 90 billion. So, if the president is going to live by his word that he will not sign a bill that's budget neutral, they need to figure out where that 90 billion is coming from.
I am sure they can make it up. 18 million of the uninsured are so by choice (the young). The way the bill reads now, they will either have to buy insurance at thousands of dollars a year, or just pay the $750 tax penalty for not having it. Top that with the fact that if they get sick, they can get insurance on the way to the hospital, why would then buy it?
Most of those 18 million will stay uninsured, and the budget expects all of them to buy insurance.
There is an example of playing with numbers they know are not real. They will do something similar to find the 90 billion, I am just curious what it is.
I do know what the smartest thing Obama has done in all this is... not putting it into action until 2014... after the next election. Convenient how that works.
