What's up with Killzone 2's sales?

I don't know what's up with the original Resistance though.  I guess it's doing well because it's so cheap now.  It's outselling both Killzone 2 and Resistance 2, but the latter are both still $60.

I'm hoping this is just a fluke, though.  Maybe Killzone 2 will pick up steam on word of Killzone 3.  Uncharted's sales improved remarkably around Uncharted 2's release, and that was one of the few periods of time when Uncharted wasn't bundled.  Of course even now the game is showing great sales, because of the new DS3 bundles for $59.99 USD.

At the very worst Sony can start bundling Killzone 2 like mad, whether it's with PS3s or DS3s.    Get the game in more people's homes, and at least a few should like it and come back for the third.  If nothing else it'd be a nice showcase title for a new ps3 owner.

I get the feeling that was Microsoft's strategy with Forza.  They bundled Forza 2 like mad, and Forza 3 is selling far better than either Forza 1 or 2.  It helped spur awareness of the brand.

Most of the times game priices are dropped when a game has run its course.  Then again it can be an attempt to make some sells.  I don't get why these games have ot be $60 for long.  It seem as though it takes forever to drop the price.  Even with Killzone 2 the game is still at its original price.
