With regards to ps3 versions of game selling better than 360's, I argue that it's the exception not the norm. points of interest, on this site alone, 2 multies are in the top 10 Darksiders and COD:MW2 the 360 version of both games are doing better than the ps3's.

I agree the ps3 version of ff13 will do better, but I argue that no matter how much it sells, do you really think that will be enough for SE?

Goes back to my arguement of less effort+more returns=win.

If this was a 360 exclusive originally, I argue E3 '08 would not have happened in Sony's direction why?

1: too much work to port
2: Not garunteed to be successful if past trends are to be believed.
3: (personal belief) for some reason, SE amongst others are more willing to please MS than Sony atm so the liklihood of ps3 ports being perfected to match the 360 counterpart is unlikely.

all you doing is repeating yourself and it's quit annoying. again read my other comments. more consumers doesnt mean more sales. again ps3 owners are aware about console equality. dont you think that if people knew they're are getting longer content, uncompressed audio/video it will sale more on the ps3?? especially if advertise to the consumers properly? dont you think people from the 36o will buy either a ps3 or the ps3 version of the game? console equality is hurting ps3 sales. because its not on just 1 game but all multiplatform games. batman is an example it sold more on the ps3 i believe. please stop repeating yourself

I repeat myself because you keep arguing about compression and what not. I'll take a different angle then, believe it or not, that idea that folks who buy ps3s only do so for Blu-Ray playing abilities is truer than some would like to believe. It's all well and good having solid numbers on the ps3 front, if X amount isn't even interested in games to begin with, you're kinda on the back foot from the get go.

Maybe it's just my perspective, but MS has NA region wrapped around it's finger that it's hard to remove. Folks accuse JP of being nationalistic when the US is guilty of the same thing.

E.g

Ps3 offers free online yet people are willing to pay $50 or so for XBLA, you could argue XBLA is better than psnso it's worth the money, isn't that the same thing as uncompressed audio and all that jazz? My point is, no matter how you spin it, America will keep choosing the 360 over the ps3 and devs will still keep giving it the inferior items.

ll make it simple. console equality not only limits blu-ray but also hurts sales for the ps3. if people know they can get better audio/video longer content, uncompressed files dont you think those who are against console equality will start purchashing multiplatforms? dont you think those who own a 360 would buy the blu-ray version? its the reason why blu-ray beat Hd dvd. there was no movie equality and therefor people bought blu-ray. common sense dude.

and im fully aware not till the ps3 takes the NA lead will console equality be drop. but when we own both others and japan in sales i dont understand why they would cater to a region thats in a economic crisis and for a console that pirating is big for? THEREFOR THEY ARE ROBBING US PS3 OWNERS and losing on a bigger profit margin.

anyways i gotta go cya everyone

Once again... even during the "economic crisis" the US sells more then double the software Europe does.
