Yes I prefer it, sometimes I don't prefer, depends on story type, mood & setting

i see what you mean, i prefer open world, but sometimes its not needed like in god of war...but then again, too linear can become a problem, thats one of the things i dont like about Devil may cry

Example with FF12's story open world was great & fit

with WKC it may fit too

with FFX I firmly believe the linearity fit the game & the world....its hard to imagine it without that
