So, there were large numbers of people who were waiting for Super Mario Bros. Wii to come out in order to decide to buy a Wii? I am checking the sales of Wii titles, and Mario Kart Wii is STILL in the top 15 in sales (going over 20 million). I would chalk up Super Mario Bros. for the Wii as another one of these games, but am hard pressed to say that it is a major reason for the sales. I would say price cut plus holiday season has led to this happening. People buying during the holidays decide to buy Wiis. Add SBM Wii to the mix of reasons to get a Wii, but not a top reason for the sales increase.
