not really... until now it only proves that it got there faster... the last weeks numbers aren't so bright... i am afraid that only U1 fans are buying U2... hope my opinion change in the near future!

How so, if Uncharted 2 was a system seller?

Why were people talking about Uncharted 2 being a system seller?  Maybe it had a marginal bump for the PS3 when it came out (around the same time as the Slim/Price cut), but people were making it out to be some sort of thing that pushes more PS3s.  I didn't get this at all, and I am fan of the Uncharted series.

Because it caused a 19-25% spike in PS3 sales for the week of it's release. Therefore, it didn't sell to just the same Uncharted 1 fans and was a system seller, even if it wasn't a huge one. I really don't feel like going through this again though, it's redundant and off-topic.

The way this relates is when connected to the expectations game.  Like, now you are seeing questions about Killzone 2, which was a fine game for what it was, and worthy as praise, as being a failure.  The expectations game made people in the hype to make it out to be some sort of game changing title.  I have seen similar with Uncharted 2, which now is made out to be some sort of system seller.  And now we also see a flop label being put on Killzone 2, due to the hype.

Killzone 2 broke over 2 million, likely made a profit for Sony, and has a bunch of cool features in it, and has a lot of technical prowless in it.  It isn't for everyone though.  If left in being a good PS3 title, and not used as fanboy ammo, it is real good.  However, in this thread we have seen one person go so far as to say Sony should drop Killzone as a franchise.  The 2008-2009 set up Killzone 2 buzz to an extreme.

Anyhow, if a title can't even make a profit selling over 2 million, I believe the industry has a serious problem on its hands.  One has to hope that the entire industry isn't based on getting a few top franchises with everything else coming in a a loss, and the top franchises as being defined at over 5 million in sales.
