I might as well bring this up here. V-Rock asked me the very same question.
"will Natal require full body view?"
This is a great question, and I don't believe we've been given an answer.
First and foremost, this would be practically useless in many Japanese homes. Some people on this site even complain that they don't have enough room for Eyepet, which requires no movement. I've seen some cluttered rooms around here. 9x5 type rooms. So, will it require full body view? Obviously, the logical answer would be "not in all cases".
From that, and from gaming itself, we can expect some games to be full-body whereas others would not be. So, the other question is, will devs have to write on the back of the box that certain games cannot be played without a certain amount of room or view? So, not only would we have
- ratings
- console specific exclusives
- required peripherals
but also, "space-requirement"????
