I also had that thought, but in a slightly different direction. Not guns and knives, but any objects. Think of this - with the Wii, when I swing my hand, the Wiimote is tethered to my hand, so it doesn't fly at the TV. Now with Natal, I pick up an object, swing my hand with it (e.g. emulate a bat swing), and woops the bat slips out of my hand at the TV...
