Darksiders outsells Bayonetta on both HD consoles (more than twice)

It is entirely possible that the kind of reaction I had to this game is fairly widespread, and consumers may not care about the quality of the game because of the image of the game.

This was actually my initial reaction to the game too. I wasn't ready to give it a chance immediately either.

I got over that, though, because I am a sucker for bad-ass action games, and htis is way better and more technical than any of the Devil May Cry games I've played (1 and 3).

Also, I didn't expect it, but Bayonetta herself is actually a good character? She kind of crosses the line from exploitative to actually having somehting to say, which I expected in no capacity whatsoever

Yeah, that surprised me as well. I mean she flirts and all but shes no bimbo. Plus she gets all emotional saving that kid on the end...bah ive said too much.
