The more 'casual' Wii owners have no idea what Red Steel is. Plus they got enough sword action in WSR for most of them. Nor does RS2 allow you to play with/against your friend/kid/sibling/girl - a major oversight. If this was Star Wars Jedi Knight Action it would sell 1m easy. 5m likely. With lots of TV ads showing the 1:1 sword fighting and gunplay, it might hit 1m. But I don't expect that kind of support. Sales will like be closer to 500k. |
The core market is still there. The Call of duty games prove this. Each has sold over a million units. Casuals are not doing this. Why does every one think that core gamers are not enjoying the "casual" offerings on the Wii. This is a big misconception. To reiterate my previous statement, Red Steel 2 will sell a million units.
If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
