It will be supplimentary for those of us who have played/read/watched/fapped to/whatevered the VN , but it's likely to be the introduction to the series for a lot of people, and that could go two ways. The first is that FSN gets seen as some fairly generic action anime without any special merit and the few that are aware that it came from a VN see the film's source as a mere curiosity, the second is that it ignites greater interest in the VN and in VNs in general. Hopefully, the latter will be the result, but I doubt it.
