This kind of helps explain why the company was always posting such financial losses. It seems to me like management itself is the problem.  The team is already bearing more burden than it should.

I remember when things like this started to pop up about EA. That was the start of EA's decline.

Well the difference is that R* are still cranking out great games, just not that many of them... EA's game quality did decline, though it has rebounded greatly

I wouldn't count on quality being maintained in the face of horrible management, bleeding money, and disgruntled labour.

It could be that these problems are confined to the San Diego studio, though. Rockstar has plenty of other development houses to fall back on.
