Why should 3rd party developers be forced to make games on platforms they don't want to make games for?

I'd actually rather see more non-multiplatform games. Let them spend their time making their game fricking awesome on a single platform and not sucktacular on two or three.

Because then we can all enjoy them. Look if they try to do shit right like call of duty 4 you wouln't have thse issues. We seen exclusives only available to 1 system also suck balls so not sure why is there a difference if it is multi.

Development time is spent on each version.  Spending less time on another version means more time on the 1st version and quicker game turn outs/more game turnouts.

Wouldn't multi yield more games for gamers as a bigger pool can enjoy them?  Wouldn't it be nice to play uncharted on the 360 or bioshock on the PS3 etc.  Remember unreal 3 is coming out for the PS3 so hopefully the engine will now start to be on par if not better on it so we can see better multi games when using the unreal engine which is fairly popular this generation.
