The points were all relevant and highlighted how the genre needs to evolve. They don't need to implement all 10 on this list to move the genre forward, just mix it up from the stale formula thats currently causing the death of the genre. New IP's just aren't selling well in the JRPG genre and there is too much recycling of the same series that are the only ones who are successful.

To those people convinced that JRPG's are fine sticking with the same formula (in some cases story) they've played for years then you'll be the ones to blame when the JRPG genre crashes and dies for good.

why blame us?we are not the developers.I think wrpg's should stay well away from jrpgs. Everything nowadays is about simplifying everything, gone are all the amazing 20 pages of menus for each character. Now everthing is just too fucking easy. Jrpgs are not dying its just the elitist casuals as usual fucking everthing up for all the other gamers. We want it this way,we want it that way.....they should just shut up for once.

Anyone that buys sub par JRPG games is paying for the crap thats released and thus keeping the genre in the same manner its been for a long time.  The genre is becoming stale it doesn't take a genius to see that.  Developers maybe dumbing down some JRPG's to try and entice a larger audience of "casuals" as you put it but that will never work as the core problem with the genre is poor story telling with too many outdated copycat stories.  I never mentioned WRPG's at all as they're a completely different style of game with the only similarity being the RPG in the title imo.

The silly thing with telling a group of gamers to stfu is that as sales dwindle further its entirely possible the genre will die out almost completely, its not hard to see sales need to improve if a future is to be secured.  If you are honest, how have JRPG's on the current consoles compared to those released on the SNES, Megadrive, PS1, PS2?
