Perhaps. When it comes to Sony's business though, even brilliant people can fumble. Maybe they do have some "ding-dongs" working within Sony Computer Entertainment. But, if/when they get themselves out of this mess, the brilliance the company may have once had can come to life once more.

The risks I meant with Sony were strictly technological risks. Not surprising either, as Sony is, at their heart, an electronics company. I agree that when it comes to games themselves, Nintendo probably has taken the bigger risks, though titles like HEAVY RAIN and The Last Guardian show that Sony is still willing to take some software risks as well. Interesting conversation, nonetheless.

If they get back on track they will be a beast and a big headache for Nintendo, afterall they have not been in the buisness as long as Nintendo so they have a bit experience to catch up too and for the first time (in the videogame buisness) they are showing the right signals when it comes to creating their own IP´s and the future is very exciting.

Heavy Rain will probably be the game that makes me get a PS3 as i loved Fahreinheit and been waiting for a follow up and I agree with you Sony is taking some software risks this gen and I hope it pays off.
