He comes from a mid-level investment banking and research shop.  Not as high as Goldman Sachs, but definitely a well-known and reputable firm. 

He also has a lot of executive contacts with the big 3, so his statements aren't exactly just made up.

He also predicted PS3 price cut for April 2009 then June then eventually get it right for September. I don't really think you need any "executive contacts" to make such predictions.



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
