If you're talking about Blizzard not getting Asian gamers, think again.
If you're talking about you personally wanting Japanese developers to 'win' over Western developers again, then I don't know what you're talking about. Look at the Wii and DS. The only people who think western developers are winning are those who refuse to acknowledge anything except HD consoles and/or PC gaming. And even then, one of the HD consoles is made by a Japanese company (Sony) and there's just as big of a PC gaming market in Asia as in the west (maybe even bigger).
But as for Blizzard, they are heavily rooted in the cliches of DnD, Warhammer and the pop culture of America. So much so, they've practically created their entire staple franchises around them. So in the case of Blizzard, there's no getting around it.
