Rainbird said: It's true, I'm getting a Wii. Now, what I'm looking for is suggestions for games, both retail and WiiWare (I'm not into old-school games, so don't bother with VC). What I'm looking for is good games in general, but I'd like to see unique and innovative games the most. Games that feel like they make the move to motion controls worth it. But they also need good controls, as bad controls is the one thing I really don't like in games. MGS2 and 3 aren't bad games, but the controls pretty much ruined the experience for me :-S I've also never really been a Nintendo gamer. We had a N64 back in the day, but I only played some SM64 which was pretty fun, so suggest away on the Nintendo front. Finally, I'd also like suggestions for GameCube games I might have missed. I don't give a rat's ass about Mario Sunshine and stuff like that which has newer iterations on the Wii, but I'm on the lookout for stuff like Eternal Darkness. I haven't been a serious gamer for long, so don't think there are classics out there that I have surely played, because I most likely haven't. These are the games you don't have to mention:
Aaaaaaand go! EDIT: By the way, I'd also like suggestions for great local multiplayer games (online doesn't really matter though, but feel free to suggest some anyway) |
Good man.
GAMECUBE
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker !!!!! (you say no nintendo, yet Okami is basically a Zelda game in disguise with a few new ideas)
Resident Evil (aka REmake)
F-Zero GX
Star Wars Rougue Squadron II (or III)
TimeSplitters 2
Wave Race Blue Storm
WII
Battalion Wars II
F1 2009 (if an F1 fan)
SSX Blur
Zack & Wiki
Tiger Woods 10
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
(also I haven't played extensively, but Wii Sports Resort... you could get this and Tiger 10 to get 2 motion + (or wait for Red Steel 2 for one of them)
WIIWARE
Dr.Mario
Lost Winds (probably both of them, but I haven't got the 2nd yet)
Swords & Soldiers
World of Goo
Toki Tori
------
I can't reccomend anything else as i haven't played it myself, I will add that Deadly Creatures and Geometry Wars Galaxies are both very good, but find them budget price for sure.... well worth it for £10-20 (or $15-25 is probably US equivalent)
