I thought the 360 system of adding friends and such was easy, but once I got to saving games and moving information from one 360 to the other, things got terrible.

It is a confusing and frustrating thing wen you have more than 2 profiles on any 360. If this friend code abolition thing actually came true, and a single "system" code was the main focus, I would jump for joy......

What's the issue, I have 3 consoles and just move my HDD from one to the other, its not rocket science...

OT- About time

Well, my Rockband 2 data has been overwritten and my Live account/profile is all over the place. The stuff shouldn't be this complicated.....

How can you overwrite you RB2 data, I've never lost anything due to moving my HDD.  I've never had a corrupted profile either so in that instance you would be best deleting your profile and recovering it from xbox live.  You do realise that RB2 DLC such as your songs can only be accessed on different consoles if they are connected to Live.  You can access any DLC on your HDD offline on the console you downloaded on, but if you move that HDD to another console then it needs to be connected to Live to access your DLC.
