Yeah, because the PSX invented CDs, right?

All the PS2 did was hasten acceptance of DVD as a format for movies. It was going to happen anyway. You want to know the reason people didn't want to move on to DVD? There was only one. It was "I can't record my TV shows on them".

Anyway, holographic disc technology was in development years before the PS3 came out, and won't be ready for like, the better part of a decade. Don't get upset about stuff that won't even happen before your hair starts turning gray.

By the way, the PS3 won't be able to read the highest capacity Blu-ray discs. Sure is future-proof around here.


the PS3 is able to read up to the 66.something GB discs that have been made yesterday.. games are barely ever needing more then 25GB and movies barely ever need more then 15..

The PS3 can read as much blu-ray as it needs, and more
