Electronic failure rate is a function of usage and time, more and more older PS3's will fail with Ylod, thats inescapable. Is it an issue though, probably not. It doesn't seem like a large number, and people seem to be getting a few years out of their older PS3's before they cark it. Plus the BC 60GB PS3's were the most complicated of the PS3's, with the hottest chips using the most power, so are the most likely to fail anyway.
