I've had the launch system PS3 and so far it has never given me problems. If it stopped working today, I'd understand and if it stopped working after 13 months of ownership I'd understand as well. I'm not made of money, but the fact is electronics burn out and if I used it excessively (imo 2-3 hours a day) I don't see how I could expect the system to last too long. Take the extra precautions if anything, there are rules such as the 6 inch distance thing and what not.
